Hot Crowd was established in 2017 by Founder, Emily Rayburn. The dance organization has also created eight self-produced shows and two professional dance for films. Other Hot Crowd programming includes dance workshops/residencies for students ranging in age from youth to adult, pay what you can community dance classes, and collaborative events with other local artists and businesses. Hot Crowd is recently started their 7th Season which has already included several dance festivals,  performances, and classes in their beloved neighborhood of Logan Square.

We are a repertoire company who creates new work through commissioned guest choreographers & studio company artists. Commissioned artists have included Joseph A. Hernandez, Jessica Miller Thomlinson, Katie Carey, and Jessi Stegall.

We travel throughout the Midwest for various performances and festivals along with teaching the U.S for residencies on the collegiate and high school levels. We pride ourselves with our commitment to our Logan Square community and proudly engage in local events such as the Logan Square Farmers Market. We are a proud partner of the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce.

Every season we produce two shows (Winter & Spring) along with an Intensive and Audition (Summer). Over the years we have become known for our Choreography Forums which are a fun opportunity for the public to vote via social media on a topic we should turn into movement.
